Great day at Castle-Baker

Discussion:
With the weather report forecasting temperatures near zero, our group of 10 arrived at the Castle Lookout with a variety of skis and waxes. Some had skin skis and others had waxables with VR40 and VP50. The trail from the parking lot down to the road was slippery but once we crossed the road, the fresh grooming had a bit of new snow and the track was very good. Cloudy skies and very light snow kept the track from softening and the trip to Baker Ck. and back was delightful with good grip and great glide. When we arrived back at the parking lot, everyone had big smiles and agreed that this was one of the best days of the season.
