About 20cm of snow fell at West Bragg Creek, during the first storm of the season. The temperature stayed below 0C all day, so conditions were good enough to take the wide skis out for a bit of a tour. I even managed a few turns on Crystal Link #4.
It's soft, uncompacted new snow, sitting on warm ground, so wider skis keep you on top of the snow and out of the slush next to the ground.
With warmer weather in the forecast starting mid-day Sunday, this snow won't last. But it is a great little teaser for the snow season to come!
