It’s always a treat to leave town on a gloomy day, only to find the sun shining in the mountains. PLPP offered us that blue sky as we took advantage of the very good snow conditions.
We began the day at the Pocaterra Hut and skied the lower, northern slopes: Lodgepole, Meadow, Wheeler, Amos, Lynx & Pocaterra. The trails were in very good condition. Some debris (pine cones, etc) from time to time but nothing major.
Blue wax worked well for me and JoLynn’s skin skis performed very well. She kept a very strong pace!
Nice to take a break and visit with Beverly, Todd, Rick along the way.
We paid a short visit to the lovely Pocaterra Hut before heading off to Lodgepole
Nice tracks on Lodgepole trail
Can't beat these ones!
I met Todd, Rick and Beverly at the Wheeler - Amos junction. Nice folks!
