What a day you had Chuck!
Magnificent.
I love the photos as usual.

Hi Diana,
The good news is that the ski out (to the Fish Creek parking lot) is now groomed and open to all skiers, but I would say that the trail up to Boulder Pass from the resort is too hard packed and narrow for an enjoyable descent on narrow track skis. That being said, there were two gals yesterday who went all the way to Deception Pass on just waxable track skis, and they handled it admirably!

That looks wonderful!
Does the trail to Boulder Pass seem reasonable for skinny skis?
Thank you,
Diana

Consider this as an extension to my January 20 report, when I only got to Boulder Pass.
I used my Light Touring skis with just wax, even though I had my climbing skins in my pack... difficult choice.
Nice to have these longer days for these longer trips (this one was about 30 kms with over 1,000 metre elevation gain).
Wonderful welcome from the fabulous team who remembered me well from my January 20 trip.
Looking back from Deception Pass over Ptarmigan Lake towards Boulder Pass
Passing Skoki Lakes on the way down to Skoki
Arriving at the historic Skoki Lodge
Enjoying my lunch spot on the porch
I had been warmly welcomed in, but the sun was shining outside!
Returning via Boulder Pass
