Me 'n' the trees

Discussion:

My lonely van sat in the Boulton Creek parking lot as I skied up Whiskey Jack and Lookout North, and back down again, well sort of.....
There was lots of fresh snow, depth highly variable (approx. 5 - 15 cm?), and though it seemed like nice powder to begin with, that soon changed. Underneath the most recent few cm, a very soft crust had formed, which complicated conditions.
I broke trail all the way up, mostly in quite deep snow, under mostly cloudy skies with light snow falling. There were modest views at the top.
The return was "interesting", rather slow on the Lookout trail, but not well controlled, and then devastatingly warm and sticky on Whiskey Jack. I had better luck on the lower slopes, and if I could go back I would try lower trails with no big steep hills!
The trees were the only other living things I saw all day on the trails.

Total distance: 12.60 Km

The goal is in sight!
