Discussion:

A surprising amount of snow for this time of year but not quite enough to cover up all the blemishes underneath. The area has been well skied probably because it is so close to the Village and because little snow has fallen since the Big Dump, last week. Lack of track setting and little new snow has encouraged snowshoers to become walkers and so the trail has become flattened with some pot holing. The result is a very fast, uneven trail. Minimal snow and some ice in places in the Ribbon Creek section. We also kicked up a couple of stones here. It looks as though the area was groomed once and if depth allows it could be done again. Blue wax temperatures allowed for a pleasant ski day. Novice skiers should avoid the steeper sections.

Good update...
I've learned my lesson on that trail after going through a whole package of P-Tex from that area facing the sun on the hill that rips the bottoms of my skis every fall!
