Another sunny day and recent trip reports enticed us to explore scenic Paradise Valley. What a quiet place, didn't see a soul all day! The trail is well packed from boot/skier and snowshoe traffic. The snowshoe trail continued up to Lake Annette. Might have been a more than exhilarating run down in the luge track on woodies and narrow LT skis, so off we went following the broken ski trail in the cold shade of Mt. Temple. Found Mr. Wolverine's tracks at the avalanche slope and called it quits where the ski track ended. Sadly, the Giant Steps were still a few km away and it would have been a trailbreaking workout to get there through the bottomless snow. Need an intrepid skier with lots of determination and wider ski tips to break that trail. Returning to the Lake Annette bridge we broke a trail on skier's right side of the creek for a short distance to avoid crossing the large avalanche paths.
Happily we enjoyed our lunch (pizza but no beer) in the sunshine back at the third bridge. Decided to follow the ski track down the creek to the Moraine Lake Road bend, which was quite entertaining. With a supportive snow base this could be real fun cruising on top of those creek pillows.

our turn around point - Mr. Wolverine keeps going

just follow Paradise Creek
