Reminiscing the Good Old Times in Yoho

I received a lovely phone call from Bruce Bembridge tonight from Field, BC. What a pleasure it was to hear him reminisce about how he and his wife Marlaine maintained the X-C ski trails in Yoho. 30 years of hard work! Of course they remain very thankful to Parks for taking over for them in 2022.

Bruce chatted with me about his entry into last week's (52nd) Lake Louise Loppet, participating in the Woodies event. Actually, Bruce played an integral part in getting the Woodies going so many years ago.

He also talked of his memories of Chic Scott. Apparently, Chic told him once that you can actually see the top of Mount Assiniboine from the Burgess Shale.

Our talk meandered from here to there tonight. He made me promise to call him up next time I plan to ski the Yoho. I shall!
