We arrived at Pocaterra parking at 9:45am to -7C. Only a handful of cars in the lot. We headed south on Pocaterra to the Lynx jct. and then continued on Pocaterra to the Packers jct. The newly trackset trail was fabulous - almost no debris and very few tree bombs. After a short out-and-back ski on the upper (level) section of Packers (skier tracked in 6-7cm of snow), we lunched at the Pocaterra/Packers picnic table. Then came the best part of the day - the downhill return on Pocaterra to the Lynx jct. Fast, safe, only a few tree bombs.
After a short out and back on Lynx, we returned by Pocaterra and Come Along to the hut. This section was now getting quite tree bombed, lots of needles/cones/debris, and was getting sticky in the sun exposed sections. Finished at 2pm at +5C. Glad we got most of our ski in before it got too warm...
