Still deep drifts of snow above the initial switchbacks on moose packers, about 6500 ft. Not a day for moose mountain, or carrying skis that far. Black bear seen between Tom snow south and ridgeback 4.
Still lots above treeline too.
He ran off as soon as I announced my presence.
