A late start today, so we only went to the bridge. Even though the trail had been groomed on 31Dec, there's been so much snow it needs it again. -20 deg and 30 km/hr winds, with light snow falling the whole time. Tracks are deep, but well used and wide. Snow was light and fluffy. No problems on the hills, climbing or descending - first time I've ever come down with big hill without having to slow myself down. Saw maybe a dozen people the whole time we were out.
Got to see that ridiculously large herd of elk by CYBA on the way back

Hey Ray,
You're luckier then me - I've been up the Cascade Valley a couple of times this season but haven't sighted any wildlife.
