Ha! Lo and behold, I'm on the internet! It was a GDO (Grand Day Out). Hopefully another day with the skins will happen this year, but who knows...
I'm stoked about Emerald Lake this weekend. It's been a LONG time since I was there.

Chester Lake

Discussion:

Took the Telemark skis up to Chester Lake and on to Elephant Rocks. Conditions are good and light touring gear with edges would work up to Chester lake at least. Coming down from Elephant rocks would be a challenge on light gear though. I used violet wax on my way down for the few uphills and it worked well. The dedicated ski trail was in great shape and no walkers or boot prints. Some fresh snow and no ice. As, usual a quick run back down. Hardly anyone out (Super Bowl?).
