Meanderthals had perfect conditions to ski up to the Lodge for lunch.

Discussion:

Started at 9:30 and -8. Blue wax worked for all who did not have skin skis. I opted for kicker skins around kms. 7.5. Appreciated previous reports by Mary and gh as things do change by the day. Lonnie and staff extremely hospitable and even have lovely felted hut slippers for us to us. The Lodge appreciates a phone call (Mon-Wed) to know how many XC skiers are coming and prefer guests arrive soon after noon and before 1:30. Delicious tomato soup, salad, grilled cheese made on homemade bread, delicious dessert, tea/coffee and plentiful water. Snow was amazing today and even I enjoyed those sometimes scary hills on the descent.
