Discussion:

5” or so of cold powder to start the day. Back up to moose ridge with Aqua Toque, trying to hit the right window. Snowing most of the day, sometimes heavy, and some brief sun. Finally ran into some skier tracks coming into mountain rd from mountain view, but quickly left those behind at the end of mountain rd. Our old track was still visible most of the time, with boot top trail breaking off the track. Surprising amount of new snow as we went higher, sometimes 8-10” deep! The descent was a powder plume type affair, fast and lots of fun. Seems we hit the right window. But we both still clipped some stumps despite the powder. 2” of new in our uptrack on the way down by the early aft. Some roller packing back on mountain road at moose connector. Took the east leg of west meadow on return (parallels mountain rd). Super nice, great way to end the tour. An excellent outing for a Monday.

First tracks!

The route just comes into view

Busting trail in the gas line ROW

Mountain Rd on return. Despite not skiing in the groomed track with our wide skis, everyone else used our track. Must have been the 6” of new snow!
