Thanks for that information about Dave from the Tune Shop in Canmore. My skis will need 1.5 feet of new edge. That gives me hope that I will get several thousand or tens of thousands of more kilometers on these old skis from 1994. If I can recycle something I will, excluding politicians that don't believe in real democracy.

Hey Mr. Democracy,
Dave at The Tune Shop in Banff recently did an amazing job repairing the cracked edges and a huge hole in my metal edge skis… for a very good price.
Looking forward to the next sighting.

Howdy Chuck,

Sorry I did not stop to chat I needed to maintain speed to stay ahead of some young 20 something ladies and I was on a mission to break trail beyond Stoney. I was working hard with my old skis with a broken edge which was slowing me down by about 20%
Catch you next time.
Ski Cheers

I don't think I'm alone when I say Chuck has way too much energy! We never get to see his face, but I don't think he's 25.

Good man Chuck. Keep em coming!

With the word out that the Banff Park tracksetter had completed grooming past the Cascade River bridge, it was high time to enjoy the wonderful deep snow all the way to Stoney Creek.
Great to see Mr. Democracy heading up when I was on my return. Given that it was about 1:30 pm and he was nearing Stoney Creek, and with his propensity to ski home in the dark, I wonder where he was headed?? Probably, the Panther River to visit the Bison!!
It was a comfortable minus 10 all day, and Green wax continues to work well.

A welcome destination with a picnic table on the porch

Double Trackset to the first bridge

Single Trackset to the second bridge

George Capel enthralled visitors with the history of...

... Dorothy Carleton and the old Warden Cabin

Time to head home
