Crust skiing fun has started

Discussion:
We went on an exploratory outing up the Spray Valley to look for spring crust. Found a solid crust with a few cm light snow on top which made for enjoyable, but slow skate skiing. Temperature was -9C in the morning, but warmed up fast in the sun. Snow coverage is lower than in other years, so we had to navigate through more willows.
Such a scenic place on a bluebird day!
 Engadine Meadows with Mt. Commonwealth and Birdwood
 skiing on Hogarth Lake, view of Mt. Chester and The Fortress
 had to ski across Buller Pond to get the classic view of Mt. Assiniboine
