Discussion:

Having read Bob Truman's trip report of yesterday about this trail, we decided to give it a try, largely due to his comment about Hwy40 being very windy right up to the turnoff by Kananaskis Lakes, and then things being quite calm. With good fortune, we experienced those precise conditions today. We had a delightful ski from Pocaterra Hut up to the Packers junction, and on the return we did a couple of side trips (parts of Lynx and Rolly Road). Except for a few sections near the hut, everything was nicely trackset, and a cm of fresh snow made the downhills very confident. A section of Come Along that we skied was not trackset. A highlight of the day was seeing a big bull moose, who passed about 30 meters from where we were sitting at the picnic table near the Lynx/Pocaterra junction. Unfortunately, we could not get the camera out fast enough. -12C at our 10am start; -9C at 1:30pm finish

Total distance: 20.00 Km

Great tracks today
