Sunny Ribbon Creek with Good Spring Skiing Conditions

What Arie says in his recent trip report is certainly true: we’re into the Last Days of Winter. The good news: this is the best time of year: lot’s of sun, pleasant temperatures and still decent conditions.

Jolynn and I had a lovely time at Ribbon Creek today. As we started out, we found the trails somewhat icy, but conditions improved greatly as we approached the top of Kovach. What a fantastic ski through the S-turns towards the Aspen junction. As we lost elevation, we could feel some of the iciness return. I saw 3 to 4 patches of dirt throughout the day but nothing that can’t be easily avoided.

We skied the Terrace loop also.
