Kananaskis Lookout - very fast

Discussion:

We had a later start from Elk Pass trailhead in -4C. Tracks were still quite good, but a bit on the slippy side for me. Fast climb to Elk Pass to catch up with my speedy kids. We enjoyed skiing scenic Tyrwhitt on the intermittent tracks and fun dips. Then worked up a sweat herringboning up to the Lookout. Only a slight wind at the top, some high clouds and the wonderful expansive view. The descent on South Lookout was super fast and hard packed. Alot of skiers must have skied down since yesterday's grooming. Metal edges would have made it more enjoyable for me than all the snowplowing. The tracks on Hydroline were also fast, but really fun. If you like speed, go to Lookout!
